Childcare – At the present time we do not have a caregiver for the nursery and are seeking candidates. Please see Deb Shamlin or Laima Day if you have a candidate or have questions. Until we hire a caregiver, and so we can offer nursery care, those interested in volunteering for a Sunday, please see Deb or Laima. This morning’s prelude and postlude were composed by Paul Manz (b.1919) who has long served the church as recitalist, composer, teacher, and leader in worship. He is Cantor Emeritus of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saint Luke, Chicago, Illinois, and Professor Emeritus of Church Music at Christ Seminary Seminex at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. Dr. Manz has appeared with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. His compositions are internationally known and his organ works are used extensively in worship services, recitals, and as teaching tools.
